Suitable dishware

NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to property damage.
■ The presence of any metal in the
cooking chamber can cause sparks
when you use the appliance in micro-
wave mode or combi mode! This can
destroy the appliance and the view-
ing pane! Do not use metal pots, met-
al pans and metal lids or cookware
with metal parts such as gold edges
under any circumstances.
■ When using the grill, convection or
combi modes, do not use containers
made of porcelain, ceramic or plastic,
and do not use any lids that are not
high-heat resistant.
■ Do not use baking paper or similar!
■ Containers that become hotter than
the food inside them are not suitable
for microwave cooking. Do not use
such containers.
The appliance offers different heating modes:
microwave, grill, convection and combi mode.
Always choose the appropriate dishware for
the different heating modes. Please also en-
sure to observe the manufacturer's guide-
lines. Unsuitable crockery can lead to the
appliance becoming damaged.

For microwave mode

Use only microwave-safe dishware. This in-
cludes:
– fire-resistant glass, ceramic, porcelain
– fire and frost resistant glass ceramics
– High heat-resistant and microwaveable
plastic (e.g. oven bag)
Suitable dishware
In order to find out whether the crock-
ery is microwaveable, you can conduct
the following test:
1. Put the empty container in the cooking
chamber.
2. Press the "Pause/Stop" button (12) to
show the clock.
3. Press the "Start" button (11).
The appliance will then start running for
30 seconds at full microwave power.
– If the crockery becomes hot or if
sparks start to form, immediately open
the cooking chamber door to stop the
cooking process: This dishware is not
suitable!
– If the dishware remains cold or only
lukewarm, it may be used in the sim-
ple microwave mode.
If you wish to use aluminium foil to cover the
cooking utensils, use it sparingly and ensure
that there is always a distance of at least 3
cm from the cooking chamber walls and the
cooking chamber door.
For grill, convection and
combi mode
Any materials suitable for use in a conven-
tional oven are also compatible with these
heating modes.

Size and shape

– Flat, wide containers are more suitable
than tall, narrow ones. "Flat" dishes can
cook through more evenly.
– Round or oval shaped containers are
more suitable than square or rectangu-
lar containers. There is a risk of localised
overheating in the corners!
