10.6 Separating into pressure zones

The CD01-PI can be divided into several pressure zones with
pressure zone separators. This means you can feed
compressed air to each end plate separately at the required
pressure. You will need a supply/exhaust module for more than
two pressure zones.
Pressure regulators can only reduce the working pressure.
If you want to increase the working pressure on the base
plates, you need to install a supply/exhaust module.
If you want to divide the VS pneumatically by inserting
separators to create pressure zones, you need to unscrew the
parts that will form the separating zone, insert the separators
and then screw everything back together again.
Pressure zone separators must be inserted on the left-hand
side of the base plate.
1. Release both M5 screws on the base plate of the VS part for
removal.
2. Remove the left part of the VS.
3. Press the pressure zone separators (61) as far as they will
go into channels 1, 3 and 5 of the right part of the VS as
illustrated in fig. 15.
