1 Manufacture
The tank consists of a double-walled floor shell, a double-walled shell laminate and a single-
walled cover shell. The internal and external floor shells as well as the cover shell are manufac-
tured using a pressure-injection process (resin transfer moulding) or a wet press process.
The processing and finishing guidelines and/or recommendations of the material manufacturer
must be observed.
The description of the manufacturing process is on file at the German Institute of Structural
Engineering (DIBt).

2.1 Packaging
The tanks must be dispatched with proper packaging for transport.
2.2 Transport, storage
2.2.1 General information
Transport must be carried out by only those companies with specialist experience, suitable
machinery, equipment, and means of transport as well as sufficiently trained personnel. To
prevent risks for employees and third parties, the applicable accident prevention directives
must be observed.
2.2.2 Transport preparation
The tanks must be prepared for transport so that no damage occurs during loading, transport
and unloading.
The loading surface of the transport vehicle must be constructed so that it is not possible to
damage the tanks by impact or pressure against a pointed object.
2.2.3 Loading and unloading
When lifting, moving, and setting down the tanks, impact loads must be avoided.
If a fork lift truck is used, the tanks must be secured during transport with the fork lift.
Connection and support pieces and other protruding parts of the tanks may not be used for at-
tachments or for lifting the tanks. The tanks may not be dragged across a floor or the ground.
2.2.4 Media transfer
The tanks must be secured against impermissible changes in position during the media trans-
fer. The method of securing the tanks must not cause any damage to them.
