1 The General Building Inspectorate Approval certifies that the approved object is suitable and
usable as defined by the Building regulations of the German states.
2 The General Building Inspectorate Approval does not replace the permits, permissions, and
certifications legally required for a Building project.
3 The General Building Inspectorate Approval is granted without affecting the rights of third par-
ties, in particular private proprietary rights.
4 Regardless of further regulations in the „Special Provisions", manufacturers and sellers of the
approved object must make copies of the General Building Inspectorate Approval available to
users of the approved object and inform them that the General Building Inspectorate Approval
must be present at the place the object is used. If requested, copies of the General Building
Inspectorate Approval must be made available to the authorities involved.
5 The General Construction Inspectorate Approval may be reproduced only in whole. Publica-
tion of excerpts requires permission from the German Institute for Structural Engineering. Text
and drawings in advertising must not contradict the General Building Inspectorate Approval.
Translations of the General Building Inspectorate Approval must contain the notice: „This is a
translation of the German original document and has not been reviewed by the German Institute
for Structural Engineering".
6 The general building inspectorate approval can be revoked after it is issued. The provisions of
the general building inspectorate approval are subject to subsequent additions and changes,
especially when new technical knowledge necessitates these.
