Installation requirements
T he installation requirements for particular media
are to be taken from the legislation governing water,
commerce and construction. Tanks with integral opti-
cal leak detection may be installed where water leg-
islation only specifies an R2 class, or even without
an optical leak detector.
Please note: The operator must attach a plate to
the tank before it is put into operation
stating the stored liquid as well as its
density and concentration.

Transport
C EMO safety tanks are supplied with impact-resist-
ant hard foam transport packaging to provide protec-
tion against mechanical damage. To prevent damage
and to adhere to the warranty conditions, the follow-
ing must be observed:
• transport a nd store ONLY in the original packaging
• do n ot throw the tank or allow it to fall
• do n ot support on sharp edges or spiked objects
• do n ot remove the transport packaging until ready
for installation
• however, i f damage should occur, please inform our
customer services!
Please note: Return of the transport packaging
to CHEMOWERK via your stockist is
requested.

Tank installation
T he tank must be installed so that it has a secure
footing. The tank must be vertical and rest evenly
over its entire surface. The area under the tank must
be flat and should not have any ridges or bumps.
The site must be thoroughly cleaned before the tank
is installed.
C learances for tanks with a connected leak detector:
• a w all clearance of approx. 5 cm is recommended.
• a t ank clearance of approx. 5 cm in battery installa-
tions is fixed by the piping above the CEMO battery
dome lids.
C learances for tanks with integral optical leak
detection, without a leak detector:
• wall c learance, min. 40 cm on a long side of the
tank system and min. 5 cm on the other sides.
• a tank clearance of approx. 5 cm in battery
installations is fixed by the piping above the CEMO
battery dome lids.
4.1 Outdoor installation
C EMO safety DWT tanks are approved for outdoor
installation. Tanks should be anchored against
wind load.
The leak detector should be mounted in the
protective box.
5.
Installation of filling and discharge systems
for CEMO safety DWT tanks
C EMO - filling and discharge systems are supplied
as approved accessories in the accessory packages.
The accessories packages include an illustrated
installation manual.
5.1 CEMO - filling system „C-B3" for battery arrange-
ments intended for the storage of EL heating oil
and diesel.
5.1.1 CEMO - filling system „C-B3" in series
installation
=> Install in the sequence described below,
page 38, drawing no. 130.0009.000
• Push the telescopic foam pipe (4) into the underside
of the dome lid (1) until the sprung clip engages.
• Screw the suction unit (12 or 19) with gasket (28)
into the dome lid (1).
• Place the dome lid (1) with clamped dome lid gasket
(3) on to the tanks and screw tightly onto the first
tank using screws (22, 23) and washers (37).
• Place transverse pipe (5) between the dome lids
(1) and screw together via the stamped flange
with screws (23, 24). In doing this, the filling eye
of each dome lid is clamped, with its gaskets (6),
between two flanges. The flange connection in the
filling direction of the last tank is made using blank-
ing flange (7 & 8) and gasket (6), while on the first
tank, it is made using the connecting flange (9) and
the same gasket.
• After positioning of the transverse pipes (5), tightly
screw each sequential dome lids on to the tanks.
• Fabricate a filling line using a filling connector
(tanker coupling) and other necessary parts (not
supplied).
