Section 5.1.4 is replaced by the following section:
5.1.4
Documentation
The container manufacturer must supply the following documents to the operator:
– A copy of this General Building Inspectorate Approval or an approved excerpt of it;
– A copy of the General Building Inspectorate Approval for the limit value sensor and overfill
guard suitable for the intended use.
– Installation instructions for installing the individual tank and/or the tank system.
If a leak detector is connected to the monitoring chamber, the operator must also be provided
with a copy of the usability certificate issued by the general building inspectorate for the leak
detector suited for the intended use.
The first bullet point of Section 5.1.5.2 (Filling and Emptying), Paragraph (4), is replaced by:
– Filling system (filling, ventilation, emptying) as per Section 5.1.1(7),
Paragraph (2) of Section 5.3.2 (ongoing tests / commissioningtests) is replaced by the
following paragraph:
(2) If a leak detector is connected to the monitoring chamber, the functionality of the leak
detector must be tested in accordance with the specifications of the usability certificate
issued by the building inspectorate.
Section 3 (Spacing) of Appendix 6 (Installation conditions) is replaced by the following section:

Spacing
(1) The tank must be installed so that the piping for emptying, filling and ventilation and for the
leak detector is accessible and can be easily inspected. Furthermore, it must be ensured that
the risk of explosion is kept to a minimum and adequate fire-fighting equipment is available
(see also Section 3(1) of the „Special Provisions").
(2) Tanks which are not equipped with a leak detector must be placed at such a distance
from walls, other building components and each other that visual leak inspection and status
monitoring may be performed at any time. The following spacing is required for this purpose:
The tanks and tank systems must have a wall clearance of at least 40 cm on two adjacent
accessible sides. The distance to the other two walls and between the walls of adjacent tanks
must be at least 5 cm.
