ASSEMBLING YOUR DRIVO

• Loosen the bike's rear brake and place the
chain on the smallest rear sprocket and the lar-
gest front chainring. Remove the quick release
from the rear wheel.
• Insert the quick release and the dropout adap-
ter (Rif.C) on the Drivo sprocket cassette (Pic. 11).
• Place the bicycle chain onto the smallest spro-
cket of Drivo (Pic 12).
• Fully fit the bicycle's rear dropouts onto Drivo's
cassette (Pic. 13), paying careful attention to the
correct internal or external position, based on the
type of bicycle:
- External triangle adapter (Rif. C) for road and
time trial bikes (130mm triangle) (Pic.14).
- Internal triangle adapter (Rif. C) for mountain bi-
kes (135mm triangle) (Pic. 15).
NOTE: the knurled side of the triangle adapter
(Rif. C) must be facing the bicycle dropout.
INSTALLING THE SPROCKET
CASSETTE ON THE DRIVO
FOR Ø12 L=142 mm CHAINSTAYS
• For bikes with rear thru-axle you need to chan-
ge the sleeve set in the chainstay spindle:
1) If it's inserted, remove the left adapter (Ref. G)
and unscrew the right adapter for 130-135 mm
chainstays (Pic.16);
2) Screw the right adapter to its end (Ref. E) and
insert the left adapter (Ref. F) for 142 mm chain-
stays (Pic.17);
3) Attach the spacer (Ref. E) with the 17mm key
(11/16 inches) with a 5Nm tightening torque (44
in-lbs). Use a medium strength, oil-tolerant thre-
adlocker to lock the nut on the spindle;
4) Loosen the rear brake of the bicycle and pla-
ce the chain on the smallest sprocket of the rear
wheel and the front chainring. Remove the thru-
axle from the rear wheel.
5) Position the bicycle's rear dropouts on the axle
of the sprocket cassette of the Drivo.
6) Insert the thru-axle on the Drivo sprocket cas-
sette shaft. (Pic. 11)
7) Make sure the bicycle is safely positioned on
the Drivo and lock the thru-axle with a strong
push. The pressure should make the bike dro-
pouts remain locked onto the structure of the
Drivo.
Make sure the bike is stable by pushing and pul-
ling the top tube of the frame and the saddle.
Should the bike still be moving a little on the Dri-
vo, use more force to lock the thru-axle.
WARNING: both feet support three different
types of wheel height; rotate the foot (Pic. 18) fa-
cing downwards based on your wheel dimension:
1) mountain bikes with 27,5'' wheel dimension
(Pic. 19);
2) road bikes with 28'' or MTB 26'' wheel dimen-
sion (Pic. 20) ;
3) mountain bikes with 29'' wheel dimension (Pic. 21).
• Start pedalling. Ride very slowly at first and
increase your speed gradually until you become
familiar with the features of Drivo.

CONNECTIONS

NOTE: DO NOT PLUG THE USB DONGLE
INTO THE PC BEFORE INSTALLING THE
REAL SOFTWARE.
• Drivo has an electronic motherboard that is
powered via a standard power supply adapter
(included).
• Connect the power supply to the grid and the
jack to the proper connector on the back of the
Drivo. A small vibration indicates that the system
is booting up to its initial position. This operation
might last up to 15 seconds.
Hang the power supply cable on the dedicated
hanger (Pics 22 and 23).
• The Drivo compliance with EU laws (see "De-
claration of conformity", page 69) may be voided
if a different charger from the original is used.

REMOVING THE BICYCLE

• Shift the bicycle chain on the smallest cassette
sprocket of Drivo and of the smallest front chain-
ring of the bicycle.
• Open up the quick release (or remove the thru-
axle) and remove the bicycle from the Drivo.
• For transportation, or simply to reduce clutter
when not in use: push the safety lever (Pic. 24)
and fold the front leg (Pic. 25).
• It's also possible to rotate the front foot by 90°
(Pic. 26) to fold the hometrainer more compactly
after training. In this case, the hometrainer must
be stored horizontally as indicated (Pic. 27) to
prevent it falling and becoming damaged.
NOTE: For more stability place the feet (H) in the
28 ROAD position as in (Pic. 28).
• Drivo can be stored vertically by leaning on the
floor as indicated (Pic.29), but make sure the front
leaning area in contact with the floor is rotated as
indicated (Pic. 30). Be aware that the flywheel of
the hometrainer is moved up higher in this posi-
