Starting a balance measurement run

Close the wheel guard and press the START button.
At BM 11 only press START button.
Depending on the program settings, the machine will
start its run automatically if the auto start function is set
to ON, (see chapter 6.1.1 function F6).
During the measuring run the relevant balancing pro-
gram is displayed.
The balance run can be halted at any time by pressing
the STOP / POS- button.
The balance run can also be halted by opening the
wheel guard whilst the machine is in operation.
Should the wheel guard be opened during the measu-
ring run the error message
is shown in the display.

Impacts or vibrations on the machine can lead to
measuring errors.

End of balance run

At the end of the balance run the wheel will stop with
the desired weight position at 12 o´clock. The centre po-
sition LED on the display board shows that the desired
weight position is at 12 o´clock.
On the balancers without electromagnetic brake (BM
10-2 / 11 / 20-2) the wheel will stop at any position, de-
pending on its mass and diameter.
In models BM 30-2 / 40-2 / 50-2 The 12-o´clock position is
approached. Upon reaching the position the Software
is activate the electronic parking brake.
The wheel position can be stopped  rst in both the left
12 o´clock position or the right 12 o´clock (see chapter
6.1.1 Function F13).
The wheel is held in this position in order to attach the
weight.
The activation of the brake is indicated by the LED 23.
The size of the balance weights is displayed in the dis-
play  elds 1 and 3. The values are according to the set
values are rounded (see chapter 6.1.1 Function F7).
The position of the balance weights is indicated by the
LED arrays 2, separated for the left and right position.
The center LED in each  eld referring to the 12 o´clock
position of the wheel.

On the machines with electronic parking brake (BM 30-2
/ 40-2 / 50-2) the wheel by pressing the button 11 STOP /
POS is rotated to the next position for the counterweight.
Upon reaching the position of the wheel is automatical-
ly blocked for the parking brake to apply the second
weight.
Display of static imbalance
If the balancing program B (static) has been chosen the
display shows STA in the right display and the actual im-
balance value in the left display. The position LEDs are
operated synchronously and relate to the position of the
single weight.

Placing weights in mode STANDARD (12h)

In Mode STANDARD (see chapter 5.1) the wheel weights
are ALWAYS placed by hand on the 12 o´clock position.
LEFT CORRECTION PLANE
The wheel is positioned in the 12 o´clock position shown
by LED 2.
Attach the weight by hand.
RIGHT CORRECTION PLANE
The wheel is positioned in the 12 o´clock position shown
by LED 2.
Attach the weight by hand.

Placing clip on weights in mode POS

In Mode POS (see chapter 5.1) the clip on wheel weights
are ALWAYS placed by hand on the 12 o´clock position.
LEFT CORRECTION PLANE
The wheel is positioned in the 12 o´clock position shown
by LED 2.
Attach the clip on wheel weight using the a weight
hammer.
RIGHT CORRECTION PLANE
The wheel is positioned in the 12 o´clock position shown
by LED 2.
Attach the clip on wheel weight using the a weight
hammer.
