Instructions for use

4.1

Notes for on-site commissioning

- Position the machine and follow the instructions
according to the Installation instructions guide.
- Mount the clamping device.

Pay attention to the following points:
- Make sure that all gauges are in the home
position.
- First plug the machine into the main power supply
before switching on.
After switching on the machine the start routine will au-
tomatically activated.
- The position of the gauges is checked.
If there is a discrepancy in the saved working values,
an error code will be displayed. The left side of the
display will show a letter for the particular gauge and
the right side will show the incremental value.
- The software version is displayed.
- Test illumination for the display LEDs.
The word „Test" is shown in the display and the LEDs
for the weight positions and the function displays for 4
groups are illuminated and extinguished.
- The position of the gauges (according to type of ma-
chine) is shown by the incremental values of the po-
tentiometers. If a gauge is not connected, „nc" will be
displayed.
A = Distance
d = Diameter
b = Rim width
The mode (12 o´clock or POS) is displayed.
The measuring speed is displayed.
U 99 for BM 11
U 150 for BM 10-2, 20-2, 30-2, 40-2, 50-2
The program then  nishes the self test and changes to
the standard mode for balancing.
Abort in the start routine and self test

If the gauge is not in the correct home position, the
program will stop the test at this stage. The left side
of the display will show the letter for the affected
gauge and the right side will show the incremental
value.

Put the gauge in the correct position and press
„enter" to carry on the start routine. If the gauge is
in the correct position and the start routine still does
not  nish, a readjustment of the gauge is necessary
(see FAQ or servicing handbook).
During the  rst installation of the machine it is recom-
mended to carry out a zero run. Lower the wheel guard
and run the machine a few times and then carry out the
zero run procedure as below or according to chapter
5.1 paragraph F2.
Enter- Key (12) press.
With +/- key (4/5), (6/7) or (8/9) choose func-
tion F2
With Enter-key (12) choose the zero run func-
tion
With Start-key (10) start zero run
Once the main shaft has stopped rotating the zero run
is complete and the machine is now ready to be used
for balancing. The following points should now be taken
into consideration.
Factory settings (default program)
The unit is in „Standard" (12h) mode.
Measured values lower than 5 g will be rounded off
to 0g.
- Suppression is 5 g
Measured values will be rounded up or down to the
next 5 gram value.
- rounding 5 g
Automatic start function set to lower wheel guard and
start the measuring run by pressing the START button
(see chapter 6.1 paragraph F6).
- Automatic start OFF
A safety switch prevents the machine from starting a
balance run when the wheel guard is open. Should the
wheel guard be opened during the measuring it will be
stopped.
- Safety switch ON
- Changes to the safety switch function see chapter 6.1
