6. Periodic verification and servicing
6.1 Periodic verification
The monitoring module automatically monitors itself for wire breakage, functioning, and
much more. Nevertheless, the following tests shall be carried out and documented regularly
in accordance with the requirements of the respective national and international standards.
Verification
Functional test of the switchover and monitoring system (monitoring of
the insulation resistance, load current, transformer temperature and con-
nection) at the insulation monitoring device.
Functional test of the switchover and monitoring system (monitoring of
the insulation resistance, load current, transformer temperature and con-
nection) by pressing the TEST button at the alarm indicator and test com-
bination or at the operator panel.
Check the settings of the protective devices by visual inspection
Testing the coupling to Central Process Control/Building System Control*
(if applicable)
* This test is only to be carried out by an authorized electrician in agreement with the persons
in charge of the medically used location concerned.
Details on the functional tests specified in the check list have to be observed when perform-
ing the tests.
If there are no national regulations or standards, the tests recommended in the standard
IEC60364-7-710: 2002-11, sub clause 710.62 have to be carried out.
6.2 Maintenance
No parts of the LTIC107E/D require maintenance.
6.3 Service
