4. Installation and connection

The LTIC107E/D monitoring module is to be installed and connected in accordance with the
following connection diagrams. The respective international and national standards must be
observed.

4.1 Fuses

When selecting the backup fuses it has to be taken into account that short-circuit protection
for the transformer and selectivity of series-connected overcurrent protective devices of the
IT systems is guaranteed. The maximally permissible values of the backup fuses must be also
selected in accordance with the valid national standards in order to guarantee that the con-
tactors of the swiching elements are weld-resistant.
