most powerful feature lies in the communication between all of the involved com-
ponents and the information which is thus made available to the user. Operational availabil-
ity is continuously monitored, and operating condition, irregularities, faults and equipment
failures are indicated. This means high functional reliability for the user.
3.2 Features of the LTIC107E...
The LTIC107E/D monitoring module has the following features:
monitoring of the insulation resistance in the IT system.
monitoring of the load current of the IT system transformer.
monitoring of the temperature of the transformer windings.
monitoring of the connecting leads of the A-Isometer 107TD47
communication to the remote alarm indicator and operator panel and to the TM operator panel
via BMS bus

3.3 Functionality of the LTIC107E/D
LTIC107E/D monitoring modules monitor the insulation resistance of an IT system, as well
as the temperature and load of the corresponding transformer. They are used, for example,
where several IT systems are connected downstream of a central switchover system (e.g.
UMC710D4-...). Each LTIC107E/D monitors one IT system.
The two versions differ as follows:
LTIC107E for monitoring IT systems of AC 230 V
LTIC107D for monitoring IT systems of 3NAC 230 V
LTIC107E/D monitoring modules are in accordance with the requirements of DIN VDE 0100-
710 (VDE 0100 Teil 710):2002-11 (IEC 60364-7-710) for monitoring of the power supply.
They provide the required monitoring for insulation faults in the IT system and monitoring
of the IT system transformers for inadmissible temperature rise. They thus meet requirements
according to VDE0100-710 for measuring both the transformer temperature and the load cur-
rent.
The LTIC107E/D monitoring modules are suitable for the monitoring of power supplies with
transformers up to 8 (10) kVA.
