Risk of damage as a result of improper use.
The footshell must not be dusted with talcum powder as this would increase abrasion. Use sili-
cone spray for lubrication if needed. Replace the footshell in case it shows any damage or wear.
Inserting the foot into the footshell:
• Attach the tube adapter to the prosthetic foot. This helps, makes it easier to insert the foot into
the footshell.
• Insert the foot into the footshell.
• Make sure the heel of the polymer base spring securely snaps into the footshell heel tab.
Removing the footshell:
• Insert the 2C100 Footshell Insertion/Removal tool under the heel of the polymer base spring
which is located under the heel tabs in the posterior part of the footshell
• Pry the heel out of the shell and pull the foot out of the footshell.
5 Handling
5.1 Alignment
5.1.1 Bench alignment
The prosthetic foot with cover is clamped in the alignment apparatus.

5.1.2 Static alignment optimization
If necessary, the alignment recommendations (TF modular leg prostheses: 646F219*, TT modular
leg prostheses: 646F336*) may be requested from Ottobock.
Use the L.A.S.A.R. Posture for static alignment optimisation of the prosthesis, if available.
5.1.3 Dynamic alignment optimization
Adapt the prosthetic alignment in the frontal plane (ML) and in the sagittal plane (AP) by angle
adjustments and/or sliding adjustments, in order to ensure correct heel contact, easy roll-over,
