Frame construction set
The frame connection set RV (185660)

is designed to join several mounting
frames.
It is comprised of the following:
—
2 pce. frame connectors (31)
—
1 set of bolts and nuts M 10 (SW 15/17)
—
1 pce. expansion joint with air vent
screw
—
2 pce. gaskets
Secure the frame connectors (31) to the
L
profile rails, as shown.

Lightning protection and earthing
In existing lightning protection systems,
the contractor should include the collector
casings, mounting frames and pipework in
the lightning protection scheme.
Collector casing
Drill into the face of each collector and
attach it to the lightning protection system
via a screw fitting. For this purpose, use
two stainless steel self-tapping screws
(Ø 6.3 mm) per collector. Pre-drill the holes
with Ø 5 mm.
Pipeline
Connect the pipeline immediately next to
the collector (above the roof) via pipe clips
(consider likely corrosion).
Mounting frame
Connect the mounting frame separately to
the lightning protection equipment using
screw or clamp connections.
Connect the flow and return pipes in the
shortest possible way to the earthing
system of the building. See VDE 0100.

Drill two Ø 5 mm holes in each collector
in the shaded area and connect to the
lightning protection system with 2 stainless
steel self-tapping screws (Ø 6.3 mm).
