Definitions of Alert Icons

The following alert icons are used in this document to provide and
highlight areas of the associated text that require a greater awareness
by the user. A definition of the meaning of each icon is as follows:
DANGER
!
Indication of an imminently hazardous situation. If this is not
avoided, death or serious injury will result.
WARNING
!
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation
if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
!
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not
avoided, could result in physical injury, or damage to the
product or environment. It may also be used to alert against
unsafe practices.
NOTICE

Indicates additional information on how to use the product.

Intended Use

Dräger X-am 7000 is a portable gas measuring instrument for the
continuous monitoring of the concentration of several gases in
ambient air in the workplace.
It is not intended for the measurement of process gases!
– Independent measurement of up to five gases, depending on the
installed DrägerSensors.
Possible combinations:
up to 2 DrägerSensors IR (InfraRed), and/or
up to 2 DrägerSensors CATEx (Catalytic),
up to 2 DrägerSensors PID
(Photo-Ionisation Detector),
up to 3 DrägerSensors EC (ElectroChemical)
– The instrument is automatically configured according to the
installed sensors.
– The measuring range limits and the alarm thresholds are
adjustable, depending on the type of sensor installed
For measurements:
– in diffusion mode, in pumped mode (optional),
– Leak detection (optional) with hose probe.
– Optionally with data memory for reading and displaying the
measured values using the PC software GasVison or CC-Vision.
1) The exposure alarm thresholds can also be adjusted with the PC software
GasVision and CC-Vision, which is used for evaluation of the measured
values stored in the data memory. The PC software Dräger CC-Vision can
be downloaded from the product page for the X-am 7000 at the following
