Operational characteristics
A blocking alarm on the CatEx channel (due to a significant

exceeding of the measuring range) cannot be acknowledged via
the » OK « key. The blocking alarm on the CatEx channel is
acknowledged manually by switching the device off and back on
again in fresh air (free of flammable gases and vapours).

Exposure alarm STEV

– The alarm threshold for the short-term value STEV (mean value of
the concentration over the mean-value period) has been exceeded.
– The alarm threshold for the short-time exposure value or
the duration of exposure to excess concentrations has been
exceeded.
– Intermittent signal tone and blinking red
alarm lamp.

In the case of an exposure alarm:

Leave the area immediately.
After this alarm, the deployment of personnel is subject to
the applicable regulations.
After leaving the area, acknowledge the alarm:
