5.2 Connecting the equalizer:

If you wish to charge a Lithium battery, for
safety reasons it is essential to connect the
voltage sensor lead (attached to the batte-
ry) to the charger. The plug must be con-
nected in such a way that the black wire
(common negative terminal) coincides with
the pin marked with an arrow.
The charge process cannot be started
until you complete this connection.
Exception: this requirement can be cir-
cumvented if the charge process is start-
ed with a BID-chip or key.

If the battery contains up to seven cells, you
should always use the connector marked (1
- 7). The second connector, marked (8 - 14),
should only be used with batteries consis-
ting of more than seven cells.
Important:
Never connect more than one voltage
sensor lead to each equalizer input
socket.

If two batteries are wired in series and con-
nected to the equalizer, then the battery
connected to (1 - 7) must be the pack
whose negative wire is connected to the
charger (see diagram).

6. Menu structure, navigation

Press Enter or Select from the Start display
to move to the OUT 1 Data menu.
Selecting the menu
From this point you can move on to the fol-
lowing menus:
"Equalizer",
"Cycle data",
"OUT 2 data",
"User settings"
Use the Select buttons / wheel to navigate
to the first line (OUT 1 data).
Press the "ENTER" button to activate your
choice (black background).
Use the Select buttons / wheel to select a
new menu.
Press the Enter button again to disable your
choice.
The Select buttons / wheel are now availa-
ble again for navigation within your selected
menu.
Selecting a sub-menu
Some menus contain sub-menus consisting
of full-screen graphic displays or voltage
curves. To call up a sub-menu, move to the
third line and press Enter; pressing Enter
again closes the sub-menu.
