4.1 AC and DC Voltage Measurement
1. Connect the red probe to the V;
black probe to the COM input (12).
2. Set the rotary function switch (10) to a position for AC / DC voltage
measuring (Hz%,
displayed and the unit is now in the DC voltage measuring mode.
For measuring AC voltage press "Mode" to switch to the AC meas-
uring mode. On the left of the display "AC" or respectively "DC" is
displayed.
3. Now connect the probes to the circuitry or the component you
intend to measure. When measuring DC voltage, observe correct
polarity if possible (red to plus and black to minus).
4. Now the result can be read from the LC display (1). If a negative
result is measured, a minus symbol is displayed to the left of the
result. If necessary, correct the polarity by switching the probes.
Hints:
While the unit is idle (no measuring subject connected) with the
probes plugged in, the value in the display may constantly shift.
This is caused by the high sensitivity of the LC-Display (1). When a
measuring subject is connected, the value in the display corre-
sponds exactly to the accuracy stated in the technical data.
The unit has an input resistance of 10 MΩ in all voltage measuring
ranges.

4.2 AC and DC Current Measurement

Please Notice!
The maximum current which can be measured without damage to
the unit is 10 A. Do not connect any power source directly to the
power measuring sockets of the unit. Make sure you do not attempt
to measure currents of over 10 ampere and terminate a measuring
of high currents after a maximum of 30 seconds.
To measure the current, break the circuit to be measured and
connect the probes in series to the circuit.
