3. Operating Elements and Connections
Display Illumination (9)
With the key (9) (with a light bulb symbol) the backlight for the display
(1) is turned on. After approximately 5 seconds the light is dimmed and
turned off. To reactivate the light, press the key again.

3.2 The Connecting Sockets

10 A-Input (5)
The socket is intended for the red measuring probe when taking
AC/DC-current measurements in the range of up to 10 A. For this, set
the rotary function switch (10) to the "10A" (AC/DC) position.
µA; mA; µF Input (6)
The socket is intended for the red measuring probe when measuring
current in the range of up to 400 mA and measuring capacitance. For
this, set the rotary function switch (10) to the corresponding position.
This input is protected by a F0.5 A/1000 V Ø 6.35 x 32 mm fuse.
COM Input (12)
This input is intended to connect the black measuring probe in all
functions.
V; ; ;Ω; CAP Input (11)
The socket is intended for the red measuring probe when taking
AC/DC-Voltage measurements in the range of up to a maximum of
1000 Volt (CAT II), for testing diodes, for continuity tests with buzzer,
for resistance measurements and capacitance measurements. For this,
set the rotary function switch (10) to the corresponding position.
This input is also used for measuring frequency.
