3. Operating Elements and Connections

Turning the Unit On and Off
To turn the unit on, set the rotary function switch (10) to the desired
position. To turn the unit off, set the rotary function switch to the OFF
position.
The unit is equipped with an automatic turn-off function, which turns the
unit off after approximately 25 - 30 minutes. This preserves both battery
power and the environment. To turn the unit back on, turn it OFF and
back ON. When using the switch, make sure no voltage or current is on
the measuring probes.

3.1 Function Keys

Function Key (2) "Hz%"
With this key, you can switch between frequency and duty cycle
measurement. Frequency measurements of up to 5 kHz are possible.
The duty cycle is displayed in a relation of 0.1 – 99.9 %.
Function Key (3) "Range"
With this button the measuring range can be set manually. When the
unit is turned on, it automatically switches to the set measuring range.
In some cases it may be preferable to set the measuring range
manually. To do so, proceed as follows:
- Press the "Range" button and "Auto" disappears in the display.
- After that, press "Range" repeatedly, until the desired measuring
range is displayed.
- To return to the automatic mode, press and hold "Range" for
approximately 2 seconds. In the upper left of the display "Auto" is
displayed to indicate the automatic mode.
- All key strikes are confirmed by confirmation beeps.
