6.1 Changing the Battery

The unit is powered by a 9V block battery (6LR61). If the battery
voltage is not sufficient, the battery symbol "BAT" appears in the LC-
display. The battery should now be removed and replaced with a fresh
one of the same type and dimensions as soon as possible.
Replacing the Battery:
1. Turn the unit OFF and disconnect all
probes and testing leads from the unit
and the tested circuitry.
2. Loosen the two screws marked with
white circles in the picture and remove
the battery compartment cover.
3. Remove the spend battery from the
compartment and unplug the battery
wire.
4. Connect the battery wire to the fresh
battery and insert the battery into the
battery compartment. Observe correct
polarity.
5. Put the cover back on and secure it with
the screws. Be careful not to jam the
battery wire between cover and housing.
ATTENTION! Do not operate the unit with the housing open!
6.2 Changing the Fuses (0.5 A and 10 A)
Procedure:
1. First, turn off the unit and disconnect the measuring cables (probes)
from the unit and the tested circuitry.
