6.3 General Notes

The multimeter is a precision instrument and should be treated with
care. The interior circuitry must not be altered or modified.
Maintenance and repair work should only be undertaken by a
qualified professional!
Before using the unit in moist or wet environments make sure all
openings are closed. The sockets which are not used must be
sealed with the included plugs; the other openings are sealed by
the plugs on the testing cables plugged into them.
Precise measurements are only possible is the unit is treated
carefully and kept in a good state of repair.
Spend batteries should be removed and replaced as soon as
possible. Leaking batteries may damage the electronic circuitry.
Cleaning
Use only a soft, lightly moist cloth to clean the housing.
Use a light amount of dishwashing detergent if necessary.
Do not use aggressive chemicals or similar substances.
