9. Programming the speed controller

The speed controller can be programmed as follows:
• Neutral position, full throttle forward, full throttle reverse
Caution!
If you do not move the throttle on the remote control or if you do not move it far enough when programming
neutral position or the full throttle forward and reverse positions, the vehicle might respond even to
slight movements of the throttle and might be uncontrollable later. In that case, repeat programming.
• Brake force (60%, 100%)
• Engine braking (0%, 10%)
• Battery type (NiMH, LiPo)
• Reverse on/off
Proceed as described below for the programming:
• Put the vehicle on a suitable support (e.g. starter box) so that the wheels can turn freely and do not touch the ground.
• Switch on the remote control (transmitter). Roughly put both trim controls (steering and drive) in centre position.
• Switch off the speed controller. Connect the two battery packs to the speed controller as described in chapter 8. f).
• Move the throttle (fig. 1, pos. 10) to full throttle forward position (pull the lever towards the handle as far as it will go
and hold it there).
Then switch on the speed controller. The LED on the speed controller lights up red to indicate that the speed
controller is in programming mode.

• Let go of the throttle and let it move to neutral position. The motor/speed controller plays a confirmation sound

• Let go of the throttle again and let it move to neutral position.
After approx. one second, the programming mode for special functions is activated. If you are done programming,
switch off the speed controller ("OFF" position). Otherwise the motor/speed controller will indicate the special functions
one after another with a corresponding tone signal.
When the desired function is indicated by the tone signal, move the throttle (fig. 1, pos. 10) to full throttle forward
position (shortly pull the throttle towards the handle) to change the settings.
