Rechargeable Batteries
• Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave the batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around openly; there is a risk of them being swallowed by
children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately!
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must never be short-circuited, dismantled or thrown into fire. There is danger of
explosion!
• Leaky or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries may cause caustic burns if they come into contact with skin.
Therefore, you should use suitable protective gloves.
• Do not recharge normal (non-rechargeable) batteries. There is a risk of fire and explosion! Only charge rechargeable
batteries intended for this purpose. Use suitable battery chargers.
• Observe to correct polarity when inserting batteries into the remote control or connecting the battery packs to the
speed controller of the vehicle (positive/+ and negative/-).
• If the device is not used over a long period of time (e.g. during storage), remove the inserted batteries (or rechargeable
batteries) from the remote control to prevent damage from leaking batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disconnect the
battery packs from the speed controller of the vehicle.
• Never mix batteries and rechargeable batteries! Either use batteries or rechargeable batteries for the remote control.
• Recharge rechargeable batteries about every 3 months, as otherwise they might be fully discharged due to self-
discharge, which renders the rechargeable batteries useless.
• Always replace the entire set of batteries or rechargeable batteries of the remote control. Do not mix full batteries/
rechargeable batteries with half-full ones. Always use batteries or rechargeable batteries of the same type and
manufacturer.
The operation of the remote control with rechargeable batteries instead of normal batteries is possible.
However, due to the low voltage (batteries=1.5 V, rechargeable batteries=1.2 V) and the lower capacity
of rechargeable batteries operating time is decreased. Usually this does not matter as the operating
time of the remote control by far exceeds the operating time of the battery packs in the vehicle.
We recommend the use of high-quality alkaline batteries.
• Two identical 3-cell LiPo battery packs are required for the vehicle (see chapter "Specifications").
Make sure that both vehicle battery packs are equally charged (do not connect one fully charged and one half-full
battery pack). Otherwise a total discharge can damage the battery pack.
Fully charge the battery packs before inserting them into the vehicle.
To charge LiPo battery packs, only use a suitable charger with a balancer/equalizer.
Rechargeable batteries heat up when charged or discharged (driving the vehicle). Wait until the
rechargeable batteries have reached room temperature before charging them. The same applies after
the charging procedure. Do not use the rechargeable battery packs in the vehicle until they have cooled
down sufficiently after the charging process.
