11. Cleaning and Maintenance

a) General notes on cleaning
Clean the whole vehicle of dust and dirt after driving, use eg a long-haired clean brush and a vacuum
cleaner. Compressed air aerosols can also be helpful.
Don't use any cleaning sprays or conventional household cleaners. Doing this could dam-
age the electronics and cause discoloration on the plastic parts or the car body.
A slightly dampened soft cloth can be used to wipe the car body. Don't rub too hard otherwise there will
be scratch marks or the paint will get damaged.

b) General maintenance works

At certain intervals maintenance works and function controls that ensure trouble-free operation and
roadworthiness for a long time are to be carried out on the vehicle.
Motor vibrations and shocks during driving can loosen parts and screw fittings. This is why you should
check the tight position of wheel nuts and all screw fittings. The same is the case for other parts of the
vehicle.
Check whether the tyres are still properly on the rim or whether the bondings have loosened.
All ball bearings or gears in the vehicle have been provided with suitable lubricants by the manufac-
turer. Normally no relubrication is necessary. However, the joints on the vehicle and the wheel bearings
require occasional cleaning and relubrication with suitable lubricants (available in accessory shops).
The same is the case for exchanging drive parts or toothed wheels.
It is imperative that you remove excessive oil or grease since this is where dust settles
particularly quickly again. You may possibly pollute your environment!
If worn or broken vehicle parts have to be exchanged, please only use original replacement parts that
can be ordered via our customer service.
Make sure that no cables are pinched or caught.
Check the model for damage before each use. If you notice any damages, the vehicle must not be used
anymore and has to be taken out of operation. Bring it to a specialized workshop.
