Chain brake
The chain saw features a safety chain brake which
stops the chain within a fraction of a second in the
event of a kickback.
Before using the chain saw, always check
that the chain brake is in perfect working
order. Otherwise, do not use the chain saw
and have it repaired by a qualified technician
or a service centre.
If a kickback occurs, the chain brake is automatically
actuated by touching the hand guard with your left
hand.
Therefore always hold the chain saw firmly
with both hands. Note that the chain brake
does not offer full protection.
