15. Replacing the batteries
You need to replace the batteries when the symbol for „empty battery" appears on
the base station or if the display contrast deteriorates.
Please note that the previously determined weather data and the set-
tings are deleted when changing the battery on the base station. The
base station returns to the delivery status when replacing the batteries.
You need to replace the batteries in the temperature/air humidity sensor when the
base station no longer receives any sensor data.

Changing the batteries in the base station:
Open the battery compartment on the back of the base station and remove the spent
batteries. Insert three new 1.5 AA alkaline batteries; pay attention to the correct
polarity. The correct polarity (plus and minus) is shown by the inscription on the bat-
tery compartment. Close the battery compartment again and replace the battery
compartment cover. Once the base station is ready for operation, you will hear a
short beep and all display segments light up briefly. Then the base station switches
to the teaching phase. In this phase, the base station tries to synchronise the tem-
perature/air humidity sensor.
When you change the batteries on the base station, we recommend
removing the batteries from the temperature/air humidity sensor and
reinserting them so that the base station can quickly and correctly
detect the temperature/air humidity sensor and synchronise it.
