4. Open the battery compartment on the back of the base station and insert three
new 1.5 V alkaline mignon batteries (AA) into the opening (observe the polarity).
The correct polarity (plus and minus) is shown by the inscription on the battery
compartment. Close the battery compartment again and replace the battery
compartment cover. Once the base station is ready for operation, you will hear a
short beep and all display segments light up briefly. Then the base station switch-
es to the teaching phase. In this phase, the base station tries to synchronise the
temperature/air humidity sensor.
5. Insert the batteries into the temperature/air humidity sensor. Open the battery
compartment on the back of the temperature/air humidity sensor. Insert two new
1.5 AA alkaline batteries; pay attention to the correct polarity. The correct polarity
(plus and minus) is shown by the inscription on the battery compartment. Close
the battery compartment again and replace the battery compartment cover.
You must insert the batteries in the base station and the temperature/air
humidity sensor in the right sequence and at brief intervals, otherwise it
will not be possible to establish a correct connection between the base
station and the temperature/air humidity sensor.
6. After inserting the batteries into the temperature/air humidity sensor, the LED on
the sensor lights up for 4 seconds (if this is not the case, check that the batteries
are inserted correctly and that they are not empty). Now the temperature/air
humidity sensor transmits weather data to the base station for 24 seconds. After-
wards, the temperature/air humidity sensor starts receiving the DCF data
(time/date information). During this time (at most for 5 minutes), no further
weather data is transmitted. The LED display blinks 5 times as soon as the recep-
tion of the DCF signal was successful. The radio connection between the base
station and the outdoor sensors is now correctly established.
Do not press any button during the first 10 minutes after inserting the
batteries into the base station. The base station is in the teaching phase
during this time (synchronisation to the outdoor sensors). A push of a
button would interrupt the teaching phase.
7. Once the base station was put into operation, its display for the outdoor sensors
only shows dotted lines „- - -" or „- -" instead of the sensor data. The sensor data
is displayed as soon as the temperature/air humidity sensor has synchronised
with the base station.
8.
Once the temperature/air humidity sensor was recognised and has completed
the DCF reception, the display shows the exact DCF time with date and the data
of the outdoor sensors.
