16. Display illumination

The display illumination is activated with each press of a button and goes off auto-
matically after a short time.
17. Maintenance, cleaning and service
instructions
Servicing or repair may only be carried out by a specialist/specialist workshop. There
are no product components which have to be maintained. For this reason, never
open it (except for exchanging the batteries, as described in these operating instruc-
tions).
The use of a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient to clean the outside of the base sta-
tion. Remove dust on the base station with a long-haired, soft and clean brush and a
vacuum cleaner.
Do not apply excessive pressure to the display. This may lead to scratches or display
malfunctions
Check the outdoor sensors for dirt retention at regular intervals and clean them. The
rain sensors may be blocked by dirt or leaves, for example.
Use a slightly damp soft cloth to remove dirt from the outdoor sensor.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or chemical
solutions which could damage the housing or even impair operation.

18. Disposal

Dispose of the device in accordance with the valid statutory regulations
once it has become unusable.
Disposal of spent batteries/rechargeable batteries
You, as the end user, are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all
spent batteries/accumulators. Disposing of spent batteries/accumula-
tors in the household waste is prohibited! Batteries and rechargeable
batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with symbols
indicating that disposal in the household waste is prohibited. The desi-
gnations for the relevant heavy metals are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mer-
cury, Pb = lead. You can return spent batteries/accumulators free of
charge at the collection points in your communities, to our outlets or
