REL Press button "F1" to set the present indication to "0", i.e. all the
following measurements are with reference to "0 mA". Their diffe-
rence from the set "zero point" is displayed. During this function
the symbol "REL" flashes. To switch off the function, press button
F1 once (flashing stops).
P-H> In the "Peak Hold" function, the highest ("MAX") and lowest
("MIN") peak current values occurring at any time are captured and
indicated. The present measured value always appears In the upper
line of the display (the Peak Hold function can only be called in digi-
tal mode). In the basic menu press button "F2".
The buttons "HZ" (frequency measurement, etc.), "MODE" (graphical
display) and "RANGE" (manual range selection) have no function under
current measurement. The frequency is automatically displayed.
Attention!
When a "-" appears in front of the DC current measured value, the mea-
sured current is negative (or the test leads are reversed).
Do not measure any currents in circuits in which voltages greater than
250 VDC or VAC rms can occur, so that the measuring unit is not dama-
ged and your life is not endangered as a result. Never measure currents
over 400 mA. Measure currents lower than 400 mA only in circuits
themselves protected by a 400 mA quick-blow fuse.
5.7 20 A DC and AC current measurement (~=A)
For the measurement of low DC or AC currents to 20 A AC rms or A DC
max., proceed as follows:

a) Set the rotary switch to "~=A".
b) Connect the black test lead to the "COM" measuring instrument
socket and the red test lead to the "20A" socket"
c) Connect the test leads in series with the object to be measured (see
following illustration).

d) A bar graph is active at the left-hand edge of the screen during mea-
surements, being a high-speed analogue indicator. The bar graph
operates as a trend indicator.
e) If required, follow the following button inputs to select available sub-
functions:
