4.4 Buttons configuration and functional
description of buttons
4.4.1 General
All parameters can be changed/set by means of the various buttons on
the instrument. Buttons F1 to F4 are designated as so-called software
buttons, with which settings are possible directly in the screen menu.

4.4.2 Reset function

When the "Auto Power Off" function ("SLEEP", selectable under
"INSTALL") has switched the measuring instrument off after some 30
minutes of inactivity (to save energy), the unit can be switched on again
by pressing any of the 8 buttons.
4.4.3 MODE (HZ)
Two display modes are possible with the GDM: multimeter display and
oscilloscope (graphical) mode.
Switching from one display mode to the other is done with the "MODE"
button. The graphical display is however possible only with the follo-
wing functions:
• AC current and voltage measurement
• DC current and voltage measurement
• mV / Hi-Z function ("Hi-Z" = high impedance, i.e. the input resistance is
"extremely" high)
