12.2.3 Bearing replacement
WARNING
Risk from incorrect installation of the bearings.
» Only personnel authorised by the manufacturer may replace the bearings.
 Replace the bearing in the electric motor after a maximum of 30,000 hours of operation.
 If need be, replace the gearbox bearing after a maximum of 30,000 hours of operation.
 Follow the instructions in these operating instructions.
 Pay attention to untypical running noises.
 Use a portable working lamp with a protected bulb so that you can see the interior parts of the housing better.
 When changing the ball bearings, only use original replacement parts (special greasing) from the fi rm of Systemair.
12.2.4 Damage to the fan

As a matter of principle, repairs are always to be done by the manufacturer. Exceptions are non-rel-
evant components. They can be repaired on site or by qualifi ed personnel of the operator.

12.3

Cleaning

12.3.1 Preparation
 Apply the 5 rules of electrical engineering.
 Drain condensation off.
12.3.2 Recommended products
 Only use compressed air if the fan is used for conveying air in the presence of gases/vapours without hovering
particles.
 If the fan is used in an environment with vapours of specifi c chemical substances, get information from the chemi-
cal safety data sheet with a view to the recommended cleaning products.
12.3.3 Procedure
1. Stop the fan and switch the energy off.
2. Dismantle the housing in accordance with the section about assembly and dismantling.
3. Clean the parts of the housing and rotor with the help of compressed air or the products specifi cally recommended
for the use of air in the presence of gas/vapours.
4. Put the housing back together again according to the instructions in the section about assembly and dismantling.
5. If needed, switch the fan back on again.
