Setting the digital drive trim with electronic drive controls
If the electronic drive control has a programming option for the different positions (motor off, full throttle and reverse
drive), you can leave the trim set to 0.
If the control has no programming functions, determine the value by rolling your model slightly forwards or backwards.
Then set the number that is exactly between the two limit values.
Setting the digital drive trim using a throttle servo
 Models with combustion engine:
• First, switch on the transmitter and then the receiver.
• Check whether the digital drive trimming is set to "0" or set the value "0" with the trim button "DT 2" for the drive
control (see ill. 1, pos. 16).
• Mount the servo lever with the carburettor steering linkage on the servo in such a way that the throttle slide on the
carburettor is almost closed in this position (idle position).
• When you pull the operating lever for the drive function (see illustration 01, pos. 10) as far as possible towards the
transmitter handle, the throttle slide at the carburettor must be opened all the way.
• If the servo runs in the wrong direction, change the rotation direction of the servo on the receiver output 2 (TH) with
the REV function.
• By conducting practical tests, you can now determine the point of the rudder horn at which the you must attach the
carburettor linkage to achieve the best possible opening and closing of the carburettor. While you do this, the EPA
value should be approximately between 100 and 120%. When you are finished, you can change it for fine-tuning.
• When you push the operating lever for the drive function (see illustration 01, no. 10) all the way forward away from
the handle, the brake of the vehicle must engage. An adjustment screw at the carburettor prevents the throttle slide
from closing completely. This way the engine will not stall when the brakes are applied. You can adjust the braking
function with adjusting rings and springs and then use the EPA function for a precise fine-tuning.
• Before you start the motor for the first time, set the appropriate function for the throttle slide and the brake linkage.
• Using the trim button "DT 2" (see ill. 1, pos. 16), you can fine-tune the idle run of the motor. Then re-adjust the throttle
controls until the digital trimming is set to 0 again at optimum idling.
 Electric models with mechanical drive control:
• First, switch on the transmitter and then the receiver.
• Check whether the digital drive trimming is set to "0" or set the value "0" with the trim button "DT 2" for the drive
control (see ill. 1, pos. 16).
• Now adjust the linkage for the mechanical drive control so that the electric motor does not start up when the operating
lever for the drive function (see illustration 1, pos. 10) is in the central position (see also illustration 12).
• Using the trim button "DT 2" for the drive function (see illustration 1, pos. 16), you can conduct a fine-tuning, if
necessary, to compensate for mechanical variances and to ensure a secure shutting-off of the drive motor.
• When you steer the model forward and backward using the transmitter, the drive control must close the respective
contacts without any problem and switch the motor reliably to the correct running direction.
• If the servo runs in the wrong direction, change the rotation direction of the servo on the receiver output 2 (TH) with
the REV function.
