3-1 Coupling with a Camera or VTR Adaptor

This section describes how to attach the DNV-5 to a
BVP-series video camera or VA-5/5P VTR
Composite/Component Adaptor.

3-1-1 Coupling with a Camera

When making up a camcorder by coupling the DNV-5
with a BVP-series video camera, you may use the grip
of either the DNV-5 or the video camera.
Note
Be sure to power this unit off before coupling it with a
camera.

Connect the camera connector
(50-pin) of the DNV-5 to the
VTR interface connector (50-
pin) of the video camera.

Using a coin or similar object,
fasten the two fixing screws.
When using the grip of the camera
Remove the grip of the DNV-5 beforehand, then
follow the above procedure to couple the DNV-5 with
a camera.
When using the grip of the DNV-5
Remove the grip of the camera beforehand, then
follow the following procedure to couple the DNV-5
with a camera.
For information about how to remove the grip of the
camera, refer to the operation manual for the camera.
BVP-90/90P, BVP-70IS/70ISP, etc.
Set POWER switch
to OFF.
Remove the cap.
Loosen
3 screws.
