Initial commissioning
Deflector
. Before using for the first time, or after not using for some time: heat up the oven for ap
proximately one hour to 100°C - turn both rotary switches to 100°C - to dry it out and dispel
odours.
Preparing a baking tray (uncoated)
Uncoated baking trays must be prepared before they are first used.
. Heat the oven to 250°C.
. Take the baking tray and
− scrub thoroughly with a grease‐dissolving detergent,
− rub thoroughly dry with a lint‐free cloth.
. Wipe a thin layer of cooking fat on both sides of the baking tray to prevent the formation of
rust.
. Place the baking tray in the heated oven with the baking side facing downwards so that the
excess fat can run off.
. Allow the cooking fat to burn into the baking tray for about 15 minutes.

. Remove the ring bolt from the wire rack.
. Remove the protective film.
. Before using for the first time, clean with a
grease‐dissolving cleaning product, the
− baking trays,
− wire racks,
− cooking compartment and cabinet.

. To heat up the oven, turn both rotary
switches to the desired temperature , e.g.
− Top heat 200°C (top rotary switch),
− Bottom heat 220°C (bottom rotary
switch).
D The indicator lamp or the illuminated ring will
light up.
D The temperature is thermostatically regu
lated.
