The RC3 Remote should be installed in a manner/location where shift lever, brake

• Switching system On/Off
Briefly press the On/Off button
the battery LEDs will illuminate. After startup, the system is always in Neutral (N /
green LED) mode, indicating no motor assist/normal bicycle operation. To turn the
system Off, hold for the On/Off button
After 5 minutes of inactivity the system turns Off automatically.
• Assistance/Regeneration Level
Press the '+' or '-' key on the Remote for more/less assist (see LEDs 1-4 along left
hand side of module). From Neutral (N) press the - key to enter continuous
regeneration mode - the LEDs will flash to indicate the Regeneration mode.
• Assistance
When the motor provides power, the bicycle is in assist mode. There are four levels
of assistance that can be selected. The actual level of assistance is shown by the
number of green arrows stacked in a clockwise direction on the display dial. To
increase assistance, press button '+'. For assistance level 1, press once. Press again for more
assistance. For less assistance press button '-'. When there is no assistance level shown, there is no
assistance so riding is the same as pedaling a normal bicycle.
WARNING. It is strongly advised to ride away in a straight line when an assistance level is selected.
Never select assistance level 3 or 4 during maneuvering or riding away in a sharp corner. The powerful
reaction of motor might cause the bike to surge forward into a the sharp turn resulting in loss balance.
