Charging Up the Battery

CAUTION!
■ Remove the mains plug of the charger from the plug socket if you are not using it for
a prolonged period.
■ Make sure that the device is switched off before you connect it to the charger!
■ It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you fi rst use the de-
vice in order to achieve the maximum charging capacity. The fi rst charge will
last for approx. 14 hours.
■ If the battery is fully discharged during use, it will take approx. 14 hours for the
battery to be recharged.
1. First plug the barrel connector of the charger into the connecting socket on the bot-
tom of the cordless vacuum cleaner (or hook the motor unit into the wall mounting
bracket) and then into a properly installed and easily accessible plug socket.
2. Allow the battery of the device to charge up for around 10 – 14 hours in order to
achieve the maximum charging capacity. The control lamp lights up when the device
is connected to the mains power.
3. First disconnect the charger from the mains power and then disconnect the barrel
connector from the device.

Use

CAUTION!
■ Ensure that there are no larger, sharp objects on the surface which is to be cleaned.
■ Make sure that the MAX marking on the dust container is not exceeded when liquids
are sucked up.
■ Always hold the device horizontally when liquids are sucked up. Make sure that
sucked-up liquids do not get into the motor unit.
■ Empty and clean the dust container after each use (see the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter).
■ Do not use the device when it is connected to the charger.
1. Remove the charger from the device.
2. Insert one of the attachments into the suction opening on the front of the collecting
container.
3. Select an attachment. The attachments are inserted into the suction opening on the
front of the device:
Crevice nozzle:
Use the crevice nozzle to vacuum in folds in fabrics, corners, recesses or other plac-
es which are hard to reach.
Crevice nozzle brush attachment:
Place the brush attachment onto the crevice nozzle. The crevice nozzle brush at-
tachment cannot be used without the crevice nozzle! Use the brush attachment to
remove dust from delicate objects such as picture frames, lamp shades, keyboards,
books etc.
