Charging Up the Battery

PLEASE NOTE!
The main unit must be switched off when the adapter is being connected or removed.
Pull the adapter out of the plug socket if it is not used for a lengthy period of time.
– It is essential that you charge up the battery fully before you fi rst use the device
in order to achieve the maximum charging capacity. The fi rst charging process
will last for approx. 12 – 15 hours.
– If the battery is fully discharged during use, it will take approx. 8 – 10 hours for
the battery to be recharged.
4. First disconnect the adapter from the mains power and then from the main unit.

Attaching / Removing Nozzles

Attaching / Removing the Collecting Container

Attaching: On the bottom of the main unit (8) there is a locking lug. Plug it into the
corresponding recess on the collecting container (4). Then press together both parts
of the device until the release button (3) is heard to engage. Check that it fi ts securely.
Removing: Hold the device with the collecting container pointing downwards. Press
the release button for the collecting container and detach the main unit from the col-
lecting container.

1. Connect the barrel connector of the adapter (13) to the
main unit (8) (socket on the back of the main unit).
2. Connect the adapter to a properly installed, easily acces-
sible plug socket. The control lamp (1) on the handle (9) of
the main unit is then lit.
3. Allow the battery of the device to charge up for around
8 – 10 hours in order to achieve the maximum charging
capacity. The control lamp lights up when the device is
connected to the mains power.
Attaching: Insert the nozzle you want as far as it will go
into the suction opening (5) on the front of the collecting
container (4) . Check that it fi ts securely.
The locking mechanism of the nozzle with scraper lip (6)
must be heard to lock in place.
Removing: To remove a suction nozzle, pull it out of the
suction opening.
In the case of the nozzle with scraper lip, the release but-
ton (7) must be pressed at the same time.
