Note: If you notice that the blade stop device is not
working correctly (for example, if you can still hear
wind noise), please contact customer service or a
specialist workshop and do not use the product under
any circumstances.
10.7 Setting the level switch (21m) (Fig. 10)
1. Hang out the collection basket (21) as described
in 10.9.
• To mow dry grass, pull the level switch (21m) out
until it reaches the end stop.
• To mow wet grass, press the level switch (21m) in.
• Fold the level switch (21m) down by 90° for trans-
porting the ride-on petrol lawnmower.
10.8 Adjusting the driver's seat (1) (Fig. 17)
1. Sit on the driver's seat (1).
2. Pull the adjustment lever (1d) backwards and ad-
just the driver's seat (1) to a position that suits you.
3. Release the adjustment lever (1d).
10.9 Attaching/detaching the collection basket
(21) (Fig. 18)
1. Hold the collection basket (21) by the handle and
tilt it slightly forwards.
2. Place the collection basket (21) on the two brack-
ets (20/20a) and allow the lower part of the collec-
tion basket (21) to lock onto the product.
3. To remove the collection basket (21), lift it by the
handle out of the lock on the product and take it off
the brackets (20/20a).

Preparing the area to be mowed
1. Before mowing, carefully examine the area.
2. Remove stones, sticks, bones, wires, toys and
other objects that may be ejected by the device.
3. Ensure that no other people are present on the
surface to be mowed.
11. Operation

Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
11.1 Switching LED headlights (16) on/off (Fig. 1)
ATTENTION! Do NOT look directly into the light!
Never point the light beam directly into the eyes
of people or animals! Danger of injury.
The petrol lawn tractor has LED headlights (16) that
allow for sufficient lighting on cloudy days or in shad-
ed gardens.
1. Switch the LED headlights (16) on and off using
the on/off switch (3).
Notes:
• When the ignition key (4a) is in position "0", the LED
headlights (16) cannot be switched on.

• The LED headlights (16) remain lit even when the
engine is switched off and must be switched off
manually, otherwise there is a risk that the battery
(24) will be completely discharged.
WARNING!
Never use the petrol lawn tractor at night or when ex-
tremely dark. The LED headlights (16) are only used
for illuminating poorly lit areas of your garden.
11.2 Activating/releasing the locking brake (9)
(Fig. 19)
1. Depress the brake pedal (13) fully and pull the
locking brake (9) to the top position to activate it.
2. To release the locking brake (9), press the brake
pedal (13) once and then release it.
11.3 Starting the engine (Fig. 20, 21, 34)
1. Check the fuel and engine oil level before every
start. Make sure that the spark plug connector
(27) is connected to the spark plug (27a).
2. Hook in the collection basket (21) (on models with
collection basket).
3. Sit on the driver's seat (1).
4. The mowing unit must be switched off in order to
start the engine.
5. Apply the locking brake (9) and set the desired cut-
ting height.
6. Set the throttle lever (12) to the "Choke" position
(
7. Rotate the ignition key (4a) in the ignition lock (4)
to "Start" until the engine starts and leave it in
the"Operation" position.
8. The speed lever (12) automatically jumps to the
"Hare" position as soon as the engine starts.
9. Due to protective coating on the engine, a small
amount of smoke may be present during the initial
use of the product and should be considered nor-
mal. This is a normal process.
11.4 Disengaging the drive (Fig. 22)
To move the product with the engine switched off, the
drive system must be disengaged.
Hydro transmission:
The hydro transmission transfers the engine power via
hydraulic oil for continuously variable speed control.
Notes:
• Be sure to pull out or push in the clutch lever (15c)
completely. Do not use intermediate positions.
• The clutch lever (15c) for engaging and disengag-
ing the drive system is located behind the right rear
wheel.
1. Press the clutch lever (15c) fully in to activate the
drive system.
2. Pull the clutch lever (15c) fully out to deactivate
the drive system.
