Always make sure that the tool attachment is fitted cor-
rectly!
• Place the product on a level, even surface.
Required tool:
• Installation spanner (45)
• Allen key, 4 mm (46)
• Allen key, 5 mm (47)
• Open-ended spanner, size 8/10 mm (48)
8.1
Mounting the front handle (1)
(Fig. 2)
Fit the front handle (1) to the tubular shaft (12):
1. Firstly, loosen the M5 screws (1c) and remove the
rubber ring (1b) on the front handle (1). Use the 4 mm
Allen key (46).
2. Place the rubber ring (1b) onto the tubular shaft (12).
3. Attach the protective bar (1a) to the bottom of the rub-
ber ring (1b).
Make sure that the rubber ring (1b) is seated in the re-
cess on the protective bar (1a).
4. Place the front handle (1) on the rubber ring (1b) from
above so that the screw holes of the protective bar
(1a) and the front handle (1) are on top of each other.
5. Secure the front handle (1) with the four M5 screws
(1c). Use the 4 mm Allen key (46).
Ensure that the protective bar (1a) is fitted to the left
(towards the operator).
8.2
Fitting the protective cover (15)
(Fig. 3)
DANGER
Danger of injury!
If an incompletely assembled product is used, serious
injuries can be caused.
– Do not use the product until it has been fully fitted.
– Before each use, carry out a visual inspection to
check that the product is complete and does not
contain any damaged or worn components. Safety
and protective devices must be intact.
1. Attach the protective cover (15) to the holder provided
on the front tubular shaft (14).
2. Fasten the protective cover (15) with the two M6
screws (15a). Use a 5 mm Allen key (47).
8.3
Assembling/disassembling coil
capsule (17) (Fig. 4, 5)
The front tubular shaft (14) can be used as a grass trim-
mer with the coil capsule (17).
1. Remove the M10 nut (16d), the cover (16c) and the
spring washer (16b) from the receptacle spindle (14d).
Attention - Left-handed thread!
Hold the flange (14c) using a 5 mm Allen key (47) and
use an installation spanner (45) to open the M10 nut
(16d).

2. The M10 nut (16d), the cover (16c) and the clamping
disc (16b) are not required for the installation of the
coil capsule (17).
The flange (14c) remains on the receptacle spindle
(14d).
3. Hold the flange (14c) using a 5 mm Allen key (47).
4. Turn the coil capsule (17) anti-clockwise onto the re-
ceptacle spindle (14d) and fasten the coil capsule (17)
to the receptacle spindle (14d) hand-tight. Attention -
Left-handed thread!
5. Removal of the coil capsule (17) takes place in re-
verse order.
Note that the direction of rotation of the coil capsule (17)
must match with the direction of the arrow on the protec-
tive cover (15).
8.3.1
When the bobbin case (17) is used, the extension (15c)
must be fitted.
1. Clip the extension (15c) into the click locks of the pro-
tective cover (15).
Use the mounting spanner (45).
2. Clean the extension (15c) and the protective cover
(15) after each use.
8.4
Fitting/removing cutting blade (16)
(Fig. 4, 6)
The front tubular shaft (14) can be used as a brush cutter
with the cutting blade (16).
1. Remove the M10 nut (16d), the cover (16c) and the
spring washer (16b) from the receptacle spindle (14d).
Attention - Left-handed thread!
Hold the flange (14c) using a 5 mm Allen key (47) and
use an installation spanner (45) to open the M10 nut
(16d).
2. The flange (14c) remains on the receptacle spindle
(14d).
3. Place the cutting blade (16) on the flange (14c).
Make sure that the direction of rotation of the cutting
blade (16) matches the direction of the arrow on the
protective cover (15).
4. Then push the spring washer (16b) and the cover
(16c) onto the mounting spindle (14d).
5. Fasten the cutting blade (16) with the M10 nut (16d).
6. Hold the flange (14c) using a 5 mm Allen key (47) and
use an installation spanner (45) to fit the M10 nut
(16d). Attention - Left-handed thread!
7. Remove the transport protection (16a) from the cutting
blade (16).
8. Removal of the cutting blade (16) takes place in re-
verse order.
8.4.1
When using the cutting blade (16), the extension (15c)
must be removed.
1. Clip the extension (15c) out of the click locks of the
protective cover (15).
Use the mounting spanner (45).
2. Pull the extension (15c) off the protective cover (15).
