16. Troubleshooting
The following table shows fault symptoms and describes remedial measures in the event of your machine failing to
work properly. If you cannot localise and rectify the problem with this, please contact your service workshop.

Remedy
Connect the spark plug cable securely to
the spark plug
Fill with clean, new petrol
Set the throttle to the Start position
Clean the fuel lines
Clean the spark plug, set the gap or
replace
Check the engine oil level and top it up if
necessary
Wait a few minutes before re-starting
Connect the spark plug cable and secure it
Set the choke lever to the OFF position
Clean the fuel lines. Fill the tank with clean,
new petrol
Drain the petrol from the tank. Top up with
new petrol
Clean or replace the air filter
Clean the air filter
Clean the engine of the plate compactor
Remove dirt and debris
