2. Unscrew the oil tank cap (41).
3. Pour the bio chain oil (18) into the
tank.
4. Wipe away any spilt oil.
5. Screw the oil tank cap (41) back
on.
Checking the oil automation
Requirements
• Saw chain assembled
• Tubular shaft assembled
• Motor head assembled
• Chain oil poured in
Checking the oil automation

Before starting work, check the oil
automation system.
1. Insert the rechargeable battery (25)
into the device.
2. Turn the device on.
3. Hold the blade bar over light-col-
oured ground.
If a trace of oil appears, the device
is working flawlessly.
CAUTION! If no trace of oil ap-
pears, clean the oil passage (39)
or have the device repaired by our
customer service department.
NOTICE! Clean the oil passage (39) to
ensure fault-free, automatic oiling of
the saw chain during operation.
Use a brush or a cloth to help remove
residues from the oil passage.
Putting on the double
shoulder strap
DANGER! Risk of accident! Al-
ways wear the double shoulder strap
when working with the device. Always
switch off the device before taking off
the double shoulder strap.
NOTICE! The double shoulder strap is
equipped with a quick release device.
Opening the click fastener (47) re-
leases the device quickly from the

double shoulder strap in a dangerous
situation.
Requirements
• The carabiner (48) is attached to
the eyelet with part of the click
fastener (47).
Procedure (Fig. G)
1. Put the double shoulder strap (19)
on.
2. Adjust the strap length so that the
click fastener (47) is at hip height.
3. Attach the device to the double
shoulder strap (19): Close the click
fastener (47).
4. Place the hip protector (20) on
your hip between your body and
the device.
Fitting the protective cover
Notes
• The protective cover (14) must be
fitted to the front tubular shaft (2)
with the retainer for the spool and
3-blade steel cutter.
Tools required
• Screwdriver (24)
• Hex key (22)
Procedure
1. Screw the protective cover (14) to
the front tubular shaft (2) using the
two screws (51).
2. Attach the cover (50) to the
protective cover (14) using the
hexagon socket screws (52).

Notes
• The lock is located on the inside
of the extension of the protective
cover on the side of the line cutter
(15).
• The protective cover extension
must be removed when using the
3-blade steel cutter.
