The area is marked with two rings.
• The auxiliary handle (5) must be
attached at a sufficient distance
(≥25 cm) from the handle (29).
• The leg protection must always be
located on the operator side!
Procedure (Fig. B)
1. Loosen the grip screw (33).
2. Fold away the leg protection (7).

the grip screw (33).
Attaching and removing the
saw chain
Assembling the saw chain (Fig. C)
WARNING! Use protective gloves
CAUTION! Pay attention to the
correct rotation direction of the saw
chain (1). This is specified under the
sprocket cover (35).
1. Switch off the device and remove
the battery. Make sure that all
moving parts have come to a com-
plete stop
2. Place the device on a level sur-
face.
3. Loosen the nut (34) on the
sprocket cover (35).

5. Spread out the saw chain (1) in a
loop so that the cutting edges are
aligned in a clockwise direction.
6. Place the saw chain (1) in the
blade bar groove.
7. Place the saw chain (1) in the
chain sprocket (38).
8. Place the blade bar (36) and saw
chain on the coach screw (37).
NOTICE! When the lug to the right
of the coach screw sits in the slot-

13. Tighten the nut (34) on the
sprocket cover (35) firmly.
Removing the saw chain (Fig. C)
1. Switch off the device and remove
the battery. Make sure that all
moving parts have come to a com-
plete stop
2. Place the device on a level sur-
face.
3. Loosen the tension of the saw
chain (1) (Tensioning the saw
chain, p. 21).
4. Loosen the nut (34) on the
sprocket cover (35).
5. Remove the sprocket cover (35).
6. Remove the blade bar (36) and
saw chain (1).
Hold the blade bar (36) at an angle
of approx. 45 degrees and swivel
it upwards to make it easier to re-
move the saw chain (1) from the
chain sprocket (38).
