• Saw off large or long branches in
sections.
This gives you control over the
place where the branch section
lands.
General cutting techniques
 DANGER! Risk of loss of control.
After the cut is completed, the weight
of the saw increases abruptly for the
user, as the saw is no longer suppor-
ted on the branch.
• Saw the lower branches of the tree
off first.
This will make it easier for the cut
branches to fall.
• Only pull the saw out of the cut
with the saw chain running.
This will prevent the device from
getting stuck.
• Do not saw with the tip of the cut-
ting equipment.
• Do not saw the bulge at the base
of the branch.
This will prevent the tree from heal-
ing.

Switching on and off

Notes
• The charge status of the batteries
does not have to be identical.
• The tool will not start if one of the
two batteries is empty.
• The tool remains in standby mode
for approx. 2 minutes and then
switches off automatically.
• Ensure your stance is stable and
hold the tool tightly with both
hands and away from your body.
Before switching on, make sure
that the tool is not touching any
objects.
• The tool is automatically speed-
controlled according to the load
condition. The motor speed is
lower when idling.

Switching on
1. Press the Charge level indicator
button on the tool (27).
The tool is in standby mode.
2. Press the switch lock (32).
3. Press the On/Off switch (31).
4. Release the switch lock (32).
Switching off
1. To turn it off, release the on/off
switch (31).
2. Remove the rechargeable bat-
tery (25) from the device if you are
leaving the device unattended or if
you have finished working.

Putting down the device

• Place the device on the ground
with the motor head first.
• Place cutting unit on the ground
without subjecting it to any pres-
sure.
• Do not apply any static pressure
whatsoever to the cutting unit.

Transport

• Switch off the device, wait until all
moving parts have come to a com-
plete standstill and remove the bat-
teries.
• Always transport the tool with
blade guard (10), chain guard (9)
and/or transport protection (13).
• Always carry the tool with one
hand on the handle (29) and the
other hand on the auxiliary handle
(5).
• Keep a safe distance from other
people when transporting the tool.
