• Fit the chain guard (9).
Procedure (Fig. F)
1. Pull the lock (46) outwards and
turn it 90°.
2. Turn the pruner attachment on the
chain guard (9) to the desired pos-
ition.
5 positions are possible.

Notes
• If warm, allow the battery to cool
before charging.
• Do not expose the battery to dir-
ect sunlight for long periods and
do not place it on a radiator (max.
50°C).
Charging the battery
1. Remove the battery (25) from the
device.
2. Push the battery (25) into the char-
ging slot of the battery charger
(26).
3. Connect the battery charger (26) to
a power outlet.
4. After charging, disconnect the bat-
tery charger (26) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery (25) out of the bat-
tery charger (26).

Operation

• When working with the tool, wear
suitable clothing, work gloves, eye
protection, protective headgear,
hearing protection and cut-resist-
ant work boots.
• Always wear the double shoulder
strap provided when working with
the tool.
• Carefully inspect the surface to be
cut, and remove all wires and other
foreign bodies.
• Never work on a ladder!
• Only work on firm and stable sur-
faces!
• Avoid an abnormal body posture.
• Ensure that your footing is secure
and keep your balance at all times.
• Hold the tool as close as possible
to your body. This will ensure the
best balance.
• Check the tool before each use
for obvious defects such as loose,
worn or damaged parts.

Working instructions

Working with the pole-mounted
pruner
 WARNING! Risk of injury! If
the saw chain gets stuck, do not
attempt to pull out the tool with
force. Turn the motor off and use a
lever arm or wedge to release the
tool.
• The saw chain should have
reached its maximum speed before
you begin sawing.
• You will have better control over
the tool if you saw using the lower
edge of the blade bar (saw chain in
pulling direction) and not using the
upper edge of the blade bar (saw
chain in pushing direction).
• The saw chain must not touch the
ground or any object while sawing
through the material or thereafter.
• Ensure that the saw chain does not
get stuck while sawing.
• Please also observe the precau-
tionary measures to protect against
kickback (Protective measures
against kickback, p. 18).
