Let the product become cool before you do
maintenance near the engine.
The blades are sharp and can cause cuts. Wind
protection around the blades or use protective
gloves when you do work on the blades.
Do not turn the engine over if the spark plug or
ignition cable is removed.
Make sure that all nuts and bolts are tightened
correctly and that the equipment is in good
condition.

To install the debris baffle
1. Install the mating plate (B) to the left (A) and right
(C) debris baffle plates with the 4 x 5/16"-18 x
3/4" bolts and locknuts. Do not tighten the bolts
and locknuts fully.

2. Install the joined baffle plates on the cutting deck
with the 2 x 5/16"-18 x1" bolts and the 5/16"-18 x
3/4" bolt. Do not tighten the bolts fully.
3. Tighten all the bolts and the locknuts fully.
To install the hitch plate
1. If there is an engine guard on the product,
remove the bolts on the engine guard to remove
the engine guard.
Note:
The bolts on the engine guard are also
attached to the skid plate. Make sure that the
skid plate does not fall when you remove the
bolts.

Installation

Read and understand
Do not change the adjustment of governors.
If the engine speed is too high, the product
components can become damaged.
The product is approved only with the equipment
supplied or recommended by the manufacturer.
Use only original parts for repairs. The use of
other parts voids the warranty.
2. Remove the 2 x 5/16"-18 x 4.5" bolts and
locknuts from the hitch plate (A).
3. Install the hitch plate with the 2 bolts and
locknuts and tighten them.
4. If there was an engine guard on the product,
install the engine guard.
