Safety instructions
Important safety instructions. Please read these
safety instructions carefully before using the appli-
ance. Keep this manual in a convenient place so you can
always refer to it for the safe and proper use of the appliance.
Please make sure to pass it on to any new owner of this appli-
ance so he can become familiar with it and the safety warn-
ings. No liability will be accepted if the instructions in the
manual are not followed.
Residual risks
The following section specifies
residual risks that could occur
even when the water dispenser
is used as intended.
Avoid electromagnetic
interference!
Keep any optional components
or equipment that emit electro-
magnetic radiation away from
the water dispenser. This will
help prevent any potential opera-
tional issues.
Compliance with EMC
standards
This water dispenser has been
tested and complies with EMC
standards when using the con-
nection signal and power supply
cables delivered in the installa-
tion kit.
Danger to life from electrical
current!
Contact with parts carrying live
voltage is an immediate danger
to life due to electrical shock.
Damage to the insulation or indi-
vidual components can therefore
be life-threatening.
40 | EN
If the insulation is damaged,
•
switch off the power supply
immediately and arrange for
repair work. Please contact
customer service in this case
(see rear page).
Never bypass or switch off
•
fuses.
Keep parts carrying live volt-
•
age away from moisture to
prevent the risk of short circuit.
Never pull the plug using the
•
cord or with wet hands.
Always run the cable so that it
•
cannot come into contact with
heat sources, moisture, oil,
sharp objects, sharp edges etc.
Do not clamp or fold the cord.
If the power cord is damaged,
•
it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its service agent,
or similarly qualified persons in
order to prevent a hazard.
Ensure that the plug remains
•
readily accessible to be able to
disconnect the appliance from
the mains supply.
Unplug the appliance prior to
cleaning or maintenance work.
In the process, ensure that the
user is able to verify at each
access point that the appliance
still remains unplugged.
Danger from CO
!
2
CO
is a colourless, odourless
2
gas. There is a danger of suffoca-
tion in situations of high concen-
trations and bad ventilation. The
room size must be of at least 17
m
per 1 kg of CO
. This speci-
3
2
fication is based on the occupa-
tional health and safety informa-
tion regarding the safe operation
of beverage-dispensing systems
(Arbeitssicherheitsinformation
(ASI) 6.80 "Sicherer Betrieb von
Getränkeschankanlagen") and on
the rules for the operation of bev-
erage-dispensing systems (DGUV
Regel 110-007 "Verwendung von
Getränkeschankanlagen"). If local
regulations differ, the operating
company/operator must comply
with these local regulations.
• Observe the operating instruc-
tions for handling CO
com-
2
pressed gas cylinders (see
"Safety instructions for using
CO
gas cylinders" in the im-
2
mediate proximity of the CO
2
bottle).
• Ensure that the CO
bottle
2
size calculated from the spatial
volume of the installation room
is not exceeded. Contact the
customer service in the case
of questions about the size of
the CO
bottle (see 'Customer
2
services' on rear page).
• In the case of a suspected
increase in CO
concentrations,
2
do not breathe in, exit the dan-
ger area and sufficiently venti-
late the place of installation.
• Dissipate the CO
in accor-
2
dance with the corresponding
statutory provisions.
• Always run hoses so that they
cannot come into contact with
heat sources, moisture, oil,
sharp objects, sharp edges etc.
Do not bend or pinch hoses.
• Do not touch a frozen CO
2
bottle.
Danger to life from CO
bottle
2
pressure!
In the case of improper handling,
the pressure on the CO
bottle
2
can lead to serious or even fatal
injuries.
Before replacing the CO
bottle:
2
• Establish a pressureless
state. Also discharge residual
energy.
• Always ensure that the un-
intended escape of CO
is
2
prevented.
• Have defective parts – to
which pressure is applied dur-
ing normal operation – imme-
diately replaced by a trained
person.
• Always secure CO
bottles in
2
an upright position and secure
against falling.
• Make sure that the sticker
"Safety instruction for using the
CO
gas cylinder" is placed in
2
the immediate vicinity of the
CO
bottle.
2
• Always observe the safety
notes on the CO
bottle.
