7.1 Cleaning the tractor.
WARNING: Allow tractor to cool for at least five minutes before cleaning.
CAUTION: Do not use a pressure washer or garden hose to clean your tractor other than to clean the
underside of the platform. May cause damage to electrical components, axles, bearings or motor.
NOTICE: Debris can accumulate anywhere on the tractor, especially on horizontal surfaces. Additional
cleaning may be required when mowing in dry conditions.
Prompt repair and cleaning of oil or fuel spills can help reduce fire hazards.
NOTE: Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics can be damaged by various types of
commercial solvents and can be damaged by their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
1. Clean under the hood and around the engine, including the engine intake screen, exhaust manifold,
muffler and drum guard.
2. Clean the top of the deck and around the belts and pulleys.
3. Clean around and near the transmission.
Cleaning the collector basket
CAREFUL! Clean the accumulated grass in the exhaust channel with a tool (not supplied), do not insert your
hands. Never open the hopper when the blades are engaged. Emptying can only
be done with the cutting tools disengaged, otherwise the engine stops.
Do not allow the grass collector to overfill as this can block the collection channel.
To empty the collection basket:
1. Disengage the cutting blades.
2. Drive the tractor or into a suitable area.
3. Pull the grass discharge lever (a) or grab the rear handle (b) and lift the grass
hopper to empty it.
4. Close the grass hopper.
Incorrect installation will cause the blades to fail to engage.
7.2 Cleaning the mowing deck.
NOTICE: Tractor comes with a wash hole block plate. Garden hose connector is NOT included and must be
purchased separately.
1. Place the tractor on a level surface.
2. Attach the connector to the garden hose and then connect it to the
flush port on the mower deck.
3. Turn on the water.
4. Start the engine.
5. Set the cutting height to the lowest position.
6. Engage the power take-off (PTO) to engage the mower blades. The
rotation of the blades and the water will clean the underside of the
platform. (Fig. 21)
7. Disconnect the PTO.
8. Stop the engine.
9. Turn off the water.
10. Disconnect the hose from the flush port.
7.3 Adjusting the cutting platform
If the lawn is cut unevenly after using the tractor, the cutting deck may not be properly adjusted. Before
deciding that mowing deck leveling is necessary, make sure the tires are properly inflated when mowing.
Before you begin:
1. Make sure the tractor is in neutral.
2. Stop the engine, engage the parking brake and remove the ignition key.
3. Adjust the cutting deck height to the lowest position.
4. Remove the protection (b).
