6 .2 Starting
Careful! Do not start the car if you are on tall grass.
Depress the safety button (A) on the switch assembly and then pull the
switch lever (B) toward the handle. Hold the breaker lever down while
releasing the safety button. To stop the machine, release the switch
lever and it will automatically return to its original off position.
7.1 Maintenance
a) Keep all nuts and bolts tight to ensure the machine is in good working order.
b) Check the grass collector frequently for signs of wear or damage.
c) In the case of multi-blade machines, be careful, a spinning blade can cause another blade to spin.
d) While making adjustments to the machine, we recommend that you take great care to prevent
your fingers from getting caught between the rotating blades and the fixed parts of the machine.
e) Always allow the machine to cool before storing.
f) When performing blade maintenance operations, remember that after disconnecting the machine
from the power source, the blades may continue to rotate for a few seconds.
g) For safety reasons, replace worn or defective parts; Use only original spare parts and accessories.
h) Use only the replacement blade, blade pin and rotor designated for this product.
i) Grease the wheel connectors.
j) Store the machine only in a dry place.
k) Make sure the cables are not blocked or tangled when folding or unfolding the top handles.
l) Clean the exterior of the machine using a soft brush and cloth. Do not use water jets, solvents or
varnishes. Remove all grass and debris, especially from the ventilation slots. Turn the machine on its side
and clean the blade area.
Blade maintenance
Periodically clean the blade of grass and dirt.
At the beginning of the gardening season, carefully examine the blade. If it is very dull, sharpen it or replace
it.
If the blade is damaged or worn, replace it with a new one.
Warning! Observe the following safety measures:
•
Disconnect the machine from the power source and wait for the blade to come to a complete
stop before proceeding with any operation.
•
Be careful not to cut yourself! Use heavy-duty gloves when handling the blade.
•
Use only a designated replacement blade.
•
Do not remove the blade without a good reason.
Replacing the blade
•
Turn the car on its side.
•
Hold the blade (C) with one hand. Use protective gloves
•
Use a hex wrench to loosen and remove the blade nut (B).
•
Replace the blade.
•
Tighten the nut securely.
7 .2 Troubleshooting
The following table gives you checks and actions you can take if the machine is not working properly. If
they do not identify/fix the problem, contact an authorized RURIS service.
Warning : Switch off the engine and disconnect the mains plug before investigating faults.
