Caution: Be sure to disconnect the spark plug plug before performing repairs
or maintenance.
NOTE: When tipping the lawnmower, empty the tank. Do not turn the clipper more than 90 degrees in any
direction or leave the clipper upside down for long periods of time. Oil can leak into the top of the engine
and cause starting problems.
Change the engine oil after the first 5 hours of operation, which is the break-in period, then every 25
hours of operation or every 6 months. Read and follow the instructions carefully.
Check the air filter after 25 hours under normal conditions. Clean it every two hours in dusty
conditions. Low engine performance indicates that the air filter needs to be cleaned.
The air filter should be cleaned. At the beginning of each mowing season it is recommended that the
filter be replaced. Carefully remove the pre-filter (if fitted) and cartridge assembly from the cover.
After servicing the prefilter and cartridge, install the cartridge and prefilter into the cover.
Clean the engine regularly and keep the cooling system clean to allow air to circulate, which is
essential for engine life and performance. Make sure there is no dirt, grass or fuel residue in the
exhaust.
The underside of the lawnmower should be cleaned after each use to prevent clippings, leaves, soil or
other debris from collecting. If it accumulates, it will cause rusting and the machine's performance will be
affected.
Disconnect the spark plug.
Empty the fuel from the tank.
Turn the machine over and rest it on the housing. Keep the air
filter side up. Secure the car well.
Clean the underside of the car with the right tools.
Knife removal, replacement, sharpening
When removing the knife for sharpening or changing, protect your hands with a pair of thick gloves
when holding the knife.
Remove the HEX HD screw and washer that hold the knife.
Caution: Periodically inspect the knife adapter for cracks, especially if you
hit a hard object. Replace it when necessary.
When sharpening the knife follow the original angle of the edge as a reference point. It is extremely
important that each cutting part of the knife is equally sharpened to prevent the knife from becoming
unbalanced. An unbalanced blade will cause excessive vibration when the engine revs. Before reinstalling
the blade and blade adapter, lubricate the motor shaft with oil. Be sure to install the blade with the
numbered face down when the machine is in the operating position.
Insert the blade adapter into the motor shaft.
Place the knife in the adapter. Make sure it is aligned and seated on the adapter.
Place the flat washer on the blade.
Replace the Hex HD screw.
